<p><strong>The Add-on</strong></p>
|
|
<p>
|
|
The add-on is the component of this software that runs on your home
|
|
Assistant instance. It is responsible for creating new backups and
|
|
uploading them to your personal Google Drive account.

<h3>Information Collection and Use</h3>
|
|

|
We collect several different types of information for the purposes of
|
|
providing the Service to you.
|

<h3>Types of Data Collected</h3>

<h4>Personal Data</h4>

|

When using the service, you may connect your Google Drive account. When
|
|
doing so you may be required to provide your username, password, and other
|
|
authentication information to Google's authentication servers. Google
|
|
returns an opaque token to the service that can be used to access files
|
|
created in Google Drive. This token is passed back to the add-on and not
|
|
maintained by the Service, but it is briefly in the Service's possession.

<h4>Usage Data</h4>
|
|

|
You may opt in to send error reports generated by the add-on to the
|
|
Service. This is the full text of error messages generated by the add-on
|
|
and version identifiers for the add-on
|
|

|
Traffic to and from Google Drive generated by the add-on is aggregated
|
|
among all users. Information about the total number of requests and
|
|
information identifying the source of the requests (such as your IP
|
|
Address) is maintained by Google and made available to the Service.

<h3>Use of Data</h3>

|

Home Assistant Google Drive Backup uses the collected data for various

|
purposes:
